Young Voices

Specialist performing arts voice development for children and teens.

Young Voices is Vocolove's specialist performing arts voice service for children and teens who love to sing, perform and express themselves through their voice.

Whether your child is stepping onto the stage for the first time, training seriously in the performing arts, recovering from a voice problem, or simply needs support to develop a healthy, confident voice, our pathways combine speech pathology, singing tuition, vocal health and performance coaching to support voices through every stage of development.

We believe young performers deserve specialist care that protects both their voice and their confidence — helping them develop sustainable technique while enjoying the art they love.

Built on two decades of experience

Young Voices has been shaped by more than twenty years working with developing voices - from first performances through to professional careers.

It brings together specialist speech pathology, vocal coaching, vocal health and lived experience as a professional performer to create a unique model of care for children and teenagers who sing, perform and communicate through their voice. This combination allows young performers to receive support that is both evidence-based and deeply informed by the real demands of the performing arts.

Over more than two decades, Tania has supported hundreds of young singers and performers across Adelaide through her private practice, schools and specialist vocal training programmes. Throughout her career, she has taught in primary and secondary schools, tertiary education and the performing arts industry, including Pelican Productions, TAFE SA and the University of Adelaide's Musical Theatre program. She has also mentored singing teachers and emerging voice professionals, sharing her expertise in healthy voice development, performance and vocal longevity.

Many of the young performers Tania has worked with have gone on to gain places in tertiary performing arts courses, perform in professional productions and pursue successful careers in the performing arts. Her students have also achieved outstanding AMEB examination results, received recognition at local and national eisteddfods, participated in prestigious programs such as Class of Cabaret, and earned places in schools, musicals and other performance opportunities.

As both a clinician and an experienced performer, Tania understands the unique vocal, physical and emotional demands of the performing arts industry. She is passionate about helping young performers build healthy, resilient voices that support them not only for their next audition or performance, but throughout their lifetime.

Young Voices brings together decades of experience in singing education, performance and speech pathology to provide specialist performing arts voice care for children and teens—supporting every stage of their journey, from first performances through to professional aspirations.

Our Young Voices Pathways

Every young performer is unique. We intentionally keep our programme small so every child and family receives the personalised guidance, specialist care and meaningful relationships they deserve.

Voice Therapy

Specialist assessment and therapy for children and teens.

When a child's voice isn't working the way it should, early assessment can make all the difference. Voice Therapy combines evidence-based speech pathology with specialist performing arts voice care to support children experiencing voice concerns affecting speaking, singing or performance. Ideal for voice changes, hoarseness, vocal fatigue, vocal nodules and young performers recovering from vocal injury.

Vocal Health and Conditioning

Helping young performers build strong, healthy and resilient voices.

As vocal demands increase, growing voices often need more than regular singing lessons alone. Vocal Health & Conditioning supports young singers to develop efficient technique, vocal stamina and healthy voice habits while helping reduce the risk of vocal fatigue and injury. Ideal for musical theatre performers, choir singers, audition preparation and children with underlying health conditions that affect singing.

Neuro-Affirming Singing Lessons

Flexible, strengths-based singing for neurodivergent children and teens.

Every child experiences music differently. These individualised sessions use singing, rhythm, movement and creative voice activities to support communication, confidence, self-expression and connection in a child-led, sensory-aware environment. Ideal for children who thrive with flexible, interest-led learning rather than traditional singing lessons.

Emerging Performer Mentorships

Personalised coaching for young performers ready to take the next step.

Designed for passionate young performers who are committed to developing their voice, performance skills and artistic confidence.Mentorship provides individualised coaching for auditions, tertiary pathways, musical theatre, competitions and long-term artistic development.Ideal for young performers who are serious about their craft and ready for a more personalised coaching experience.
